It’s been a couple of weeks and car progress is now at a feverish pace. We are about to pull the engine and the transmission to see how bad the oil leaks are. I know if we head out on the track as it stands we’d be leaking more oil than out of James Bond’s tricks. This would not bode well for us passing tech nor for our fellow racers. So we must pull the engine.
Once the engine is out we’ll be taking the car to roll cage and getting everything else put together. In the mean time we will see you at the garage as we feverishly get ready for June.

Hey all, at this moment there is nothing to report since it’s been a cold week and each one of us is drowning in a lot of other work. This post is more or less here to keep you posted as we promised we would with every bit of our progress.
As of Friday we appear to be on schedule and decided what our next steps would be. It was a good meeting and we enjoyed watching the snow fall here in Dallas as we stayed warm inside instead of a cold parking spot to be working in. As of now we have a plan a time line and a division of projects and project leaders. now all we need to do is move the car where we need to and start the next bit of progress.
I wish there was more to report but as of now we are getting ready and shoring up the resources to move forward to our next big project pictures and tear down of the car. See you soon and as always…
So it’s been another weekend for us and we have a milestone covered, we’ve torn out a majority of the interior of the car and learned there are lots of inconsistencies with it. There is lots of wiring and electrical and computer components we must be very careful with or the car may decide that it can no longer function because a sensor is not doing its job.
We hope to have pictures up soon for you to see. The blank slate we’ll be working with.
In other news, we have picked up our very first major sponsor and we’d like to very much give a shout out to them. There will be a roster page coming soon and you can see the drivers in the new suits then. It’s been a busy weekend here for us at the grassy knoll. We just got our car, a Linclon Mark VIII (8) black that we have named Tony. Pictures are up on our flickr site and there is also video tour of the car. The car has great bones to start with and it sorta runs. We’re excited to start work and are itchin’ to tear everything down. The next few weeks are going to be quite busy.
I am saying here and now if you are in the Plano\Richardson area and have a garage or warehouse space that is open for us to use until June we’d love to have the space and count you in as a sponsor.
Well we all got together and met at Kelly’s Eastside in Plano. Getting some of the team members to know what’s going on and up to speed. Together in the next week we’ll have news of what car we have and what is left to do. I had a small flip camera with me so here is everyone on the team.
In the months and weeks to come you’ll see our team grow and pour blood sweat and tears into our $500 hooptie. We will post everybit of information here as we can and create as many visual images for you as we go as well. We hope to see you on the track as well.
